Ghana Project

Ghana Project

When Mary O, Zeena and I visited Ghana I was left with a question about the reason for the abandonment of some children.  I was told by a paediatric nurse that they were born to patients on the children’s wards in the psychiatric hospital.  You will be shocked when you read this report which endorses the need for safe houses where children can grow up safely and older people grow old safely.

Many of the children have Down’s syndrome – I would love to provide life-long care for even a few of those who have been abandoned and work with whoever will partner with us to change the societal response to babies born with Down’s.

We have good links in Ghana – we CAN make this happen – need an advisory group PLUS FUNDING PLEASE – you can donate via the website or send a cheque to Strong Voices, St David’s House, Park Road South, Newton-Le-Willows, Merseyside, WA12 8EY

In anticipation of your help – THANK YOU
